MASTER OF SCIENCE (INTERNATIONAL ACCOUNTING)

Master of Science (International Accounting) programme aims to produce graduates who possess international perspective in accounting and management with professional skills and prepare them for the challenges of managing organisations in the competitive current global business environment. Students should be able to make judgements by applying knowledge gained; lead and engage in managerial teams; contribute new knowledge and advance their knowledge for the benefits of their organizations; and practice ethical and professional values in providing their services.

Applicants must possess:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in the field of Accounting or related fields with Honours from Universiti Utara Malaysia or any other institutions of higher learning recognised by the University Senate with a CGPA of at least 2.50; or
  2. A Bachelor’s degree in the field of Accounting or related fields from Universiti Utara Malaysia or any other institutions of higher learning recognised by the University Senate with a CGPA of 2.00 to 2.49 with at least three (3) years relevant work experience, subject to an interview by the Postgraduate Committee; or
  3. Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the programme and meet the minimum CGPA based on (a) to (b); or
  4. A Diploma from any institutions of higher learning recognised by the University Senate with at least ten (10) years of relevant work experience, 35 years or older and passed APEL assessment (level 7); or
  5. Any other equivalent qualifications recognised by the University Senate; and
  6. Fulfil the English language requirement as set by the University Senate.
