MASTER OF SCIENCE (INTERNATIONAL ACCOUNTING)
Master of Science (International Accounting) programme aims to produce graduates who possess international perspective in accounting and management with professional skills and prepare them for the challenges of managing organisations in the competitive current global business environment. Students should be able to make judgements by applying knowledge gained; lead and engage in managerial teams; contribute new knowledge and advance their knowledge for the benefits of their organizations; and practice ethical and professional values in providing their services.
- A Bachelor’s degree in the field of Accounting or related fields with Honours from Universiti Utara Malaysia or any other institutions of higher learning recognised by the University Senate with:
- a CGPA of at least 2.75; or
- a CGPA of 2.50 to 2.74, can be accepted subject to an interview conducted by the TISSA-UUM Postgraduate Committee; or
- a CGPA below 2.50, can be accepted subject to minimum of five (5) years of working experience in the relevant field; or
- Candidates without a qualification in Accounting or related fields with CGPA of at least 2.50 with a minimum of five (5) years of working experience in the relevant fields and must undergo an interview conducted by the TISSA-UUM Postgraduate Committee and appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the programme; or
- A professional Accounting qualification equivalent to a bachelor’s degree recognised by the University Senate;
- Any other qualifications equivalent to a bachelor’s degree recognised by the Government and meet the minimum requirement in 1.(a) and 1.(b); and
- Fulfil the English language requirement as set by the University Senate.
