MASTER OF SCIENCE (ACCOUNTING)
Master of Science (Accounting) programme aims to produce graduates who can work independently in their area of specialization and competent in conducting research. Also, the programme intends to infuse graduates with the skills and creativity in solving problems. Students should be able to effectively express ideas verbally and in written form.
Applicants must possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in the field of Accounting or related fields with Honours from Universiti Utara Malaysia or any other institutions of higher learning recognised by the University Senate with a CGPA of at least 2.75; or
- A Bachelor’s degree in the field of Accounting or related fields from Universiti Utara Malaysia or any other institutions of higher learning recognised by the University Senate with a CGPA of 2.50 to 2.74, can be accepted subject to subject to an interview by the Postgraduate Committee; or
- A Bachelor’s degree in the field of Accounting or related fields from Universiti Utara Malaysia or any other institutions of higher learning recognised by the University Senate with a CGPA of 2.00 to 2.49 can be accepted subject to minimum five (5) years working experience in relevant field and subject to an interview by the Postgraduate Committee; or
- Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the programme and meet the minimum CGPA based on (a) to (c); or
- Any other equivalent qualifications recognised by the University Senate; and
- Fulfil the English language requirement as set by the University Senate.
