MASTER OF SCIENCE (ACCOUNTING)
Master of Science (Accounting) programme aims to produce graduates who can work independently in their area of specialization and competent in conducting research. Also, the programme intends to infuse graduates with the skills and creativity in solving problems. Students should be able to effectively express ideas verbally and in written form.
- A Bachelor’s degree in the field of Accounting or related fields with Honours from Universiti Utara Malaysia or any other institutions of higher learning recognised by the University Senate with:
- a CGPA of at least 2.75; or
- a CGPA of 2.50 to 2.74, can be accepted subject to an interview by the TISSA-UUM Postgraduate Committee; or
- a CGPA below 2.50, can be accepted subject to minimum of five (5) years of working experience in the relevant field; or
- Candidates without a qualification in Accounting or related fields with CGPA of at least 2.50 with a minimum of five (5) years of working experience in the relevant fields and must undergo an interview conducted by the TISSA-UUM Postgraduate Committee and appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the programme; or
- A professional Accounting qualification equivalent to a bachelor’s degree recognised by the University Senate;
- Any other qualifications equivalent to a bachelor’s degree recognised by the Government and meet the minimum requirement in 1.(a) and 1.(b) ; and
- Fulfil the English language requirement as set by the University Senate.
