The Professional Bodies Committee of TISSA-UUM had organised a sharing session about the pathway towards professional accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountant in England and Wales (ICAEW) at Tan Sri F’ng Seminar Room, TISSA building on 1 November 2022. The purpose of the session is to create awareness about professional accountant career and ICAEW among accounting students.

Mr. Andrew Yew, the Senior Manager (Student Recruitment) from ICAEW had delivered the talk and shared several inspiring stories of successful professional accountants with ICAEW recognition in Malaysia. Besides, he explained the route to become an ICAEW member and the ACA professional modules that students need to sit for exam during and after their study at UUM. He also encouraged students to apply for ICAEW students’ membership to reap various benefits offered such as opportunities to attend ICAEW Annual Conference for students, be interviewed and hired by ICAEW well-recognized employers, and gain access to various study resources such as ICAEW online exam resources and Kaplan’s learning platform.
